My Metal Music
I did this film to develop my metal sculpture i wanted to do more than just photograph it as i was trying to make a 3d sculpture and photographing it just makes it 2d again so filming it allows people to see all the curves and the way it moves with the music.
Capturing the unseen rain.
I created this film while travelling home on the Megabus, i like how normally rain is clear and cleans a window in this case it didn't and it left a mark, so the unseen is now seen. The rain has done this as it has collected the dirt which was also unseen.
The unseen captured everyday.
This film compared to the last one is a lot more interesting as it allows people to create there own opinion of what is going on behind the white paper. Taking away the sense is a very important part of my project and i like the uncertainty it brings with it.
Capturing the everyday.
In this film i was trying the show the everyday, which is the complete opposite of my concept as this is totally seen not unseen, in the next film i cover the view but still have the sound which i taking away the sense of sound. The sound heightens the imagination and allows the person listening to create there own view of what the film looks like which is a lot more interesting then this.
Trust goes pop 1.
I started these set of films just experimenting with the idea of trust and how a person would do anything if asked in the right way. I asked my 2 friends to be blind folded without knowing what was going to happen and they did. As they were my friends it is obvious that they would do something i ask as they would trust me so i asked a complete stranger who was a friend of my friend The moment i met her i asked if i could blind fold her and she did, its so strange that someone would let me do that. I would be so scared and never let a stranger do that.
Trust goes pop 2.
I carried on this experiment to see how different people react, i am very surprised that only one person screamed. In this video the boy doesn't even jump. I like the videos they look fun, however i don't want the video to look funny i want this to be viewed in a serious way. I want people to take from this that people trust the environment and they trust me.
Trust goes pop 3.
This was the last video i made of the balloon experiment this video was with a complete stranger. You can tell by her body language that she is unsure and uncomfortable by crossing her arms, yet she still agreed to do it. Will everyone be so relaxed i know i would be less trust worthy.
Sleep Recording
I decided to record myself sleeping as i find it so interesting the fact that a person is making a noise and when sleeping there is no certainty of the surroundings. I find it scary that when asleep there is no knowing of what is around. I started to recorded the unseen. I was capturing both the unseen and fear which got me interested in the senses. I found it very hard to start recording myself as i was worried about what i would hear but once i started i could not stop.
Watch deflation.
Before i did this film i had filmed the balloon getting bigger and smaller so i thought showing the balloon deflating would show the gases escaping, What i like most about this film is the look of the balloon at the end all wrinkled and sad. Experimenting with the balloon was fun it is fast and there are lots of different things to do with it.
Breathe in breathe out.
When i started to do my films i was trying to be as experimental as possible, no restrictions. Before doing this film i did the deodorant piece and i was trying to show gases and give gases a form. I used ink in the balloon to show the balloon growing and getting smaller.
